Experience shows that people are much eager to implement their own
ideas than to catch the proposed projects... We had some nice
contributions recently (the great work on Visual Studio and completion
engine from RSDN folks, late bounding macros, macros for
nunit-testing, etc.), which were not formalized in any way.
Your question confirms that observation too ;)

But seriously, I've made some update to the open projects page.
Probably the most desired (by community) project of small size is
implementing of http://nemerle.org/Traits
It has some interesting problems to solve in design and implementation.

Usually the best choice is to experiment with language for your own
and think how could it become better.
